About This Quote

Many people assume that having a cold, flu, or an illness for a long duration of time is the best way to get well. However, that assumption is very often untrue. If you are not actively taking care of an illness, then you are likely to become worse. For example, if you are sick with a cold, take lots of rest and drink plenty of water.

The more you rest, the better you will feel. That means no major responsibilities for at least 24 hours after your symptoms have subsided. You can apply this to other illnesses as well.

If you have a fever for example, don’t do anything too strenuous at least until it has subsided.
